A new raised pedestrian crossing will soon be installed in Gladstone Ave behind Mosman High School.

Mosman Council traffic engineers preferred location is near Belmont Rd.

Serving Mosman Party, who control 4 of 7 seats on council, preferred location is near Keston Ave.

Pedestrian crossings should be installed in locations that are safe and where people want to cross the road.

The ideal location is at northern end of Gladstone Ave near Belmont Rd.

It is a safe location because drivers will always have clear sightlines of pedestrians.

And, according to pedestrian counts, it is where most people want to cross the road.

This location is preferred by Mosman Council traffic engineers.

The unsafe location is midblock on Gladstone Ave near Keston Ave.

It is an unsafe location because when cars overtake school buses (that are double parked), drivers won't have clear sightlines of pedestrians crossing the road.

And, according to pedestrian counts, it is where least people want to cross the road.

This location is preferred by Serving Mosman Party who control 4 of 7 seats on council.
