Hi,

My name is Simon Menzies and I am seeking your vote for Mosman Mayor.

The foundation of my candidacy is my 20 years experience as a Mosman Councillor.

I will use my knowledge gained to preserve Mosman's unique "look & feel" and deliver on a suite of initiatives for a more sustainable future. Over the past two decades I have worked hard to protect what we love about Mosman.

It's unique village atmosphere, it's beautiful beaches and bushland. Our strong sense of community.

The heritage streetscapes. The dominance of landscaping over built form. The panorama of harbour views.

Along with our community services and facilities including library, youth centre and art gallery.

I enjoy working for you.

My most satisfying recent achievement was the alfresco dining project at Mosman Junction outside The Buena and around Centenary Circle.

But, I also love helping residents navigate council processes or getting potholes fixed.

I'm excited at the prospect of representing Mosman as your local Mayor.

The Menzies family is 4 generations Mosman. Mosman has been my home for over 40 years.

I've had the joy of raising my daughter here, belonging to the vibrant school community reminiscent of my own experience at Redlands.

Beyond that, I've been privileged to give back to our community in many ways.

As a board member on various local clubs, or coaching local rugby and hockey teams to foster teamwork and sportsmanship among our young people, to teaching lawn bowls to beginners on Sunday afternoons.
